A very old quote and very used by most of us in many situations or stages of life.

There are periods when life seems to go backwards. It’s as if nothing is going your way and everything is against you. You try and try various things to overcome difficulties as quickly and well as possible, but sometimes they stubbornly persist, prolong, and turn into long days of struggles, obstacles, and frustrations. Even the most positive and strong human being can end up being weighed down by this extension of personal inability to change things the way they want.
When life gives us lemons, we always have a choice. The first reaction of most of us is, of course, to wince and taste the sourness. Others sit face-to-face with lemons for a long time and let themselves be affected by the thought that they will experience a sour taste. The good news is that to what life has given you, you can add a few ingredients from your endowment or that you have at hand and thus transform the sour taste of lemon into a delicious lemonade. No one wants a bitter or sour life . The next step is to get angry, blame, and complain. Depending on the training and mental strength of each one, this stage is shorter or longer. The important thing is that we will overcome the situation in the end. But there are also situations that cannot be solved so easily or quickly. What can we do to overcome difficult situations and life’s obstacles?

Sometimes the harder you try, the worse you do. Things seem to get more complicated; the situation becomes more and more difficult to bear, and you start to see black in front of your eyes. You simply tried everything you could; you did everything that depended on you, and all in vain. You have the feeling that you are sinking deeper, deeper into the sphere of impotence and lack of control. If you know you’ve done all you can do, you still have a choice how to move forward—you can go back to anger, blame, and self-victimization, or you could try something new for yourself: sit down in a place that is as comfortable as possible and that feels the most soothing for you. Make yourself a lemonade or a tea and look at the sky. Listen to the chirping of the walkways, and if that calms you down, you can listen to some muted music at the end.
. Look at the world, look at the grass and the trees, listen to the birds, and follow the life that unfolds around you. Breathe, meditate, and charge yourself with the energy from nature. Allow yourself to be one with the nature that surrounds you, with all your helplessness and frustrations, with all your anger and disappointment at the moment. Forget the problems, leave them behind, and look at life in a different way, with the eyes of the mind. You will be surprised by the immediate effect on your thoughts and emotions. You simply feel that you can start over. Every day or whenever life gives you lemons, make yourself a lemonade. And if life knocks you down again, stand up, face it, meditate, and recharge yourself with positive energy .Many times I think that these trials are given to us only for these reasons: to change our way of thinking, of feeling, of reacting, of completely resetting our thinking and energies.
